Retailer powers up PIM data on Umbraco Headless
A product catalogue with hundreds of suppliers put a lot of strain on the PIM, and the performance was at times, quite frankly, bad. Here’s how this ecommerce solution was transformed and now offer both B2B and B2C buyers a high-performing user experience.
With a PIM system consisting of more than 500 suppliers and products many times that, this retailer really wanted to boost the data performance on their e-commerce site.
The site caters to both B2C and B2B shoppers and the retailer wanted a solution that presents relevant products quickly across a wealth of search options.

High performance on a mountain of a PIM
While building a new e-commerce website based on an Umbraco Headless website, the partner agency chose to direct all PIM data through Enterspeed. The PIM is fed by hundreds of suppliers who deliver data in various forms and on various times.
By building on Enterspeed, the data is easy to transform, and they were able to map the data to the frontend without deploying the full website project.
On Enterspeed, it’s easy for the entire team to work on the project simultaneously and they don’t need to implement a cache. They were able to build a high performing e-commerce site with a great developer and user experience – the last one having main focus.
